2640 MW Amravati Thermal Power Project:

2640 MW Amravati Thermal Power Project is being setup at Nandgaonpeth, Amravati District, Maharashtra. It is being developed in two stages of 1320 MW each. The Amravati Power Project will be have 4 units of 660 MW each  and will employ state of the art supercritical technology. The project site is located on NH-6, 22 km east of Amravati district capital.The nearest railway station is Badnera, about 20 km from the site, on Wardha-Badnera Electrified line. The water source is Upper Wardha Dam, about 35 km from the project site. The project has received letter of Support from the Govt. of Maharashtra. Land and Water have been allotted for the Project. All other clearances, financial closure and equipment order are in advanced stage. Phase-I of the project will be commissioned in the XIth plan.

1320 MW Bhaiyathan Thermal Power ProjeWt


1320 MW Bhaiyathan Thermal Power Project ( 2 x 660 MW) is being developed in PPP mode with Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board (CSEB) owning 26% equity stake. The Plant site of the project is adjoining Mohanpur (Masira) and Lodhima villages near Bhaiyathan in District Surguja of Chhattisgarh State. The National Highway (NH-78) connecting Ambikapur and Baikunthpur is at a distance of about 10 km and the nearest railway station Surajpur Road is about 4kms from the Project site.

The project was won in a competitive bidding process, which saw participation from all reputed power companies in India. Bhaiyathan is a pithead power project that includes development and mining of coal from 350-million tonne coal blocks in District Korba. About 1700 acres of land has been identified by CSEB and the land acquisition proceeding is presently under advanced stage of completion. The nearest water source is Lakhanpur Barrage on river Rehar at a distance of about 5 km from the project site. The coal requirement is envisaged to be met from the allotted Captive Coal Blocks at Pathuria and Gidmuri.

1320 MW Nasik Thermal Power Project

1320 MW Nasik Thermal Power Project (2X 660 MW) is being setup at Sinnar, Nasik district, Maharashtra. The project site is located on the State Highway 23, approximately 33 Km. from Nasik city. The nearest national Highway is NH 50. The nearest railway station is Niphad Railway Station about 25 KM from the site, on the Mumbai - Kolkata Electrified Line. The  water source is the confluence point of river Godavari and Dharna, 30 km from the project site.  Indiabulls Group is developing a multiproduct SEZ at Sinnar and Land has been earmarked for the project in  Sinnar SEZ  Water have been allotted for the Project. The project is envisaged to be completed during the 11th Plan period.

1320 MW Jharkand Thermal Power Project

Jharkand Thermal Power project is being developed as a coal based power plant with a capacity of 1320 MW. Memorandum of Understanding for the Project has been signed with the Govt. of Jharkhand on June 6, 2008.
